3rd Year Intramurals '09 : Day 5

This is it, the final day of the intramurals for this year... But before we began the last day.. we were pretty much on "LOCKDOWN" mode as no one was allowed to go downstairs from the classrooms to answer some surveys... It took a 1 hour 30 minute wait... At 8:30 we were allowed to go downstairs..

I had two practice basketball games today... the first one was with SVF, SJW and SLR (4 on 4)... we won that game big with our passing abilities and scoring... The second game was with SLR Adviser Mr. Nicodemus in a 3 on 3 match... Unfortunately, we lost that game in a shootout due to our opponent's accurate shooting and I lost my touch after making 6 three point shots...

I love playing 21 which is a game that a person must get 21 points.. The first shot is worth 2 points and the next shot where you have to get the ball before it bounces twice is worth 1 point... More than two bounces means the next player will shoot.. In that game against some friends from SLR... I had to beat one of them so that I won't be the loser of the match... I missed a lot of shots worth two points in the end game but I was able to get the last shot, thanks to poor shooting by my opponent

Our final team to face was SJW, here's the breakdown:
Basketball: (vs SJW-W) Record: 2-5 Place: 5th
Volleyball: (vs SJW-W) Record: 7-0 Place: 1st CHAMPIONS!
Football: (vs SJW-W) Record: 6-0-1 Place: 1st CHAMPIONS!
SGA are the Basketball Champions, they beat SLR who were undefeated in 6 games prior to the match...

We are the CHAMPIONS of two major sports... and we ended the Intrams with wins on all major sports.. That's a good feeling for us to win the final games... It is a confidence booster...

The Intrams have finally come to a close and next week, we are going back to work for our studies..

Remember that I blog to express my words freely, and not to be arrogant to others... OK!

3rd Year Intramurals '09 : Day 4

On the fourth day of this Intrams.... Here's what happened:

I had practice games with my classmates and friends from the other sections... I feel so proud after I blocked three shots by my opponents... Unfortunately, our team lost the game by three points which make me feel wasted...

One classmate who I blocked two shots challenge me into a 1 on 1... which also I lost due to my lack of experience and my opponent's shooting ability.... It also led another classmate to challenge me into a 1 on 1 which again I also lost due to my opponent's hard driving ability.... After that I was banged up that I lost my shooting and got intimidated....

Anyway we had matches against SLR, here's the breakdown:
Basketball: (vs SLR-L) Record: 1-5
Volleyball: (vs SLR-W) Record: 6-0
Football: (vs SLR-W) Record: 5-0-1
Note: Game vs SFX was a DRAW refer to Day 3 Blog Comment

"DARN IT!" - That's what I can say... since I was beaten up (lost all) in my practice games today.... I really need to improve my game... My huge problem was lack of touches since I'm not getting much passes, and limited playing time...  I need to step up and improve my game.. since I played against two of the best players our section has and got beaten, I need to go back to the "drawing board" and start again..

3rd Year Intramurals '09 : Day 3

We are in the middle of this intrams season... Only a few people were absent.. we will keep the name of one of the absent as "P.D."

More and more basketball practice with my classmates and friends from SLR, SJW, SJC and SGA.. In one practice game with my classmates, I blocked a shot by "J.P.B." But we lost the match by close margins..

We had two opponents, SFX & SBA... Once again here's the breakdown

Basketball: (vs SFX-L) (vs SBA-L) Record:1-4
Volleyball: (vs SFX-W) (vs SBA-W) Record: 5-0
Football: (vs SFX-W) (vs SBA-W) Record: 5-0

There's only a slim chance for us to win basketball... but we're still undefeated in volleyball and football.. I hope in Basketball we can beat the last two sections...

I'm so tired.. I can't feel my legs, arms, and neck... This was a very long day...

3rd Year Intramurals '09 : Day 2

On the second day of the 3rd Year intramurals... Most of the SVF people were out of action because of the PraiseFest practice that was held today...

I still had a lot of practice with my friends from the other sections like SBA, SLR, SJW... I didn't practice with my classmates because the didn't include me and some of my friends were in the practice for the PraiseFest...

We had only one section to face today.. That was SVP... Here's the breakdown:
Basketball: (vs SVP-W) Record: 1-2
Volleyball: (vs SVP-W) Record: 3-0
Football: (vs SVP-W) Record: 3-0

We had finally won a game in Basketball, unfortunately I never played a single minute in this game.. I can still get another shot to play again in the next games...

The games ended at 2:00 pm, after that it was all rest.. and another day of the intrams has come to an end...

Well, the Rockets were falling in the standings after an impressive 6-1 start, they lost 12 of thier last 18 games. And right now there out of the playoff picture in 10th place. What's the problem with the Rockets?

1. Free Throws 72% (25th NBA)/mind the 27% shooting against DET.
"REMEMBER MISSED FREE THROWS CAN COST YOU THE GAME"
2. T-MAC is struggling after the injury.
3. Bonzi, he's Adelman's boy. Why give him less minutes?
4. Supporting roles, with a deep cast of players, not working, Give them something big.
5. Where's the D? Work on the D over the opponent

I just hope they get out of these woes. We want to win the championship, right?
Well let's work it out.
